Thing 15 = Library 2.0 is
changing course away from the tip of the iceberg,
global for our world community,
sharing knowledge without strings,
constantly evolving.
Library 2.0 should be
listening to customers in many ways,
user centric, collaborative, customer friendly, for all,
free for anyone,
easier to use existing tech,
simplified,
ie, print this page not 55 pages of stuff the customer doesn't want,
teaching OCL staff how to teach customers, using the world wide collection of shared ideas.
Please keep the books! My daughter cried when most of the fiction and nonfiction books were removed from the YA shelves as part of a recent remodel at our favorite branch of OCL. There is a comfort to me and to my family in finding, reading and rereading a cherished story. Please keep the books in print! [library2.0, web2.0, thing15, week6]
